So no new Ocarina? You guys realize newer games need a hooktype for the codes to work which is not supported by the version of Ocarina in CFG.

Yes we do, which is why it is included in the first post within the FAQ of often requested features that we don't want to be asked about any more.

See the FAQ on the first post:
* New Gecko OS 1.9.x (aka Ocarina 2)

If Ocarina isn't working, none of the devs are going to fix it. Ever.

I think implementing the new Ocarina should be a piece of cake with the help of Wiipower, and this helps many people.

yeah to cheat using more advanced codes that need hook types lol, with the exception of Brawl+ which enhances the game but im not bothered about ocarina as i don't use it and as you say other members would like it *** COUGH *** to cheat *** COUGH ***

Ocarina is important, as it is a way to bypass certain game protections (e.g. New Super Mario Bros.).

the standard ocarina is more than enough to bypass NSMBW plus most loaders have the patch built in or can apply it via .wip, so that was a failed attempt to get the devs to implement the new ocarina lol

like i said

*** COUGH *** to cheat *** COUGH ***

using option ios 222-mload or ios 224-mload results in "wii exception dsi occurred" stack dump, blah, blah etc. ?
Reverting back to ios 249 and usb loader boots up fine again.
Happened after i installed the latest v53a and Hermes v5 (222, 223, 224 and 202).

same thing happened to me:
52 with 222-mload and Hermes 222 v5 was stable
updated to 53a and got the crash right after cfg-loader bootscreen

reverting to 52

and - i love the loader

A number of us want it for BrawlPlus. I, for one, happen to like playing brawl with custom music and textures, but it doesn't affect the gameplay at all.

i take it you didnt read the previos post

then use the snapshot method, the devs have stated over and over no ones willing to implement it

Would somebody with the error please post the DSI Stack Dump section so that the bug can be found?

Running 53a-fat with Hermes V5 cIOS's. Noticed, and think someone else mentioned a few pages back, that games requiring cIOS 223 don't load after the controller/wrist strap screen if letting that run through - goes to black screen. The games do start OK if A is pressed before that screen finishes. I'm assuming that this is due to the new cIOS's no longer being able to be merged. I have no problems going back to the previous v4 223 (in fact I have) but wondering if this is something that is fixable in CFG at all. The loader's great by the way, thanks.

NSMB is just an example. New ocarina may handle new coming games.

Is it possible to add 224 support? I want to install v5 there and leave 222 and 223 for legacy v4
It's already there in 53a. You just can't start the loader with it.

If a game ever comes out where the only way to fix it is the new Ocarina, then we'll work out how to add it.

you can just install 224 from v5 and leave 222 and 223 from v4 if thats what your talking about
