Which version? Is it reproducible?
Can you try with an older version and check if it still crashes?

Yeah I just tried today with the latest version and it still gives me that error.

Think it's the game? Because when I remove the usb it show menu waiting for a device. Then when I put it it doesen't work.
And before too it was working. Did not have a problem and did not change anything from then.

Bad dump? Converting? Something wrong on the sd?

I've noticed in the online updates you get a fat32 update. Does this mean you have to use either a fat32 partition or a wbfs . And that you can't have games on both partitions

My first release... I'm so proud

. Oh, and the Configurator was already updated.

congrats dr cliper nice work

Perhaps this is the wrong forum, but I'll ask anyway.

I've been searching for this info since cIOS rev 16 came out; perhaps I just suck at choosing KEYWORDs...

I am using CFG USB loader v.51 and cIOS 249 rev 14. I am interested in updating to cIOS rev 17, but I recall seeing posts about folks having issues with games installed under rev 14. Does updating the cIOS create a problem for all games added to USB loaders under the old cIOS, just certain games, or only games that were manually installed (from original/retail disc)?

Also, and this is just a minor inconvenience, I have about a 50% success rate with installing from retail discs through CFG USB loader (I often experience read errors during the install). I've never had this issue when installing from a back-up disc. I do have a flat-mod installed and suspect that it is the problem, can anyone verify this for me?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate your time!

Well, never heard about this. Though the problems should be about games that were ripped with cIOSrev14. cIOSrev17 is the best one, because it fixed the Disc Reading Errors previous cIOS had (including rev14). Your ISOs where corrupted if you dumped games with this. Though cIOSrev18 would be even a better choice for dumping discs, because it has all Bugs in reading the Discs fixed, and will give you realy a 1:1 Rip (as it looks), though it's not out yet.

As far as I remember, certain Chips have problems reading/ripping the Update-Partition...that's why Oggzee set the default ripping method for game partition only. Check if you realy set it up that way. And use cIOSrev17, as told before. Maybe even redump all games when rev18 is out and stable...

Thanks in advance, I appreciate your time!

Thank you addressing this for me, Blue-K. I will give cIOSrev 17 at try.

I do have a question though... You said "that's why Oggzee set the default ripping method for game partition only. Check if you realy set it up that way."

What do you mean by this exactly? Set what up? Where? All that I am doing is inserting a disc and pressing "+" to install. Is there something relevant to the ripping method in the config text that I should enable or disable (considering that the only config changes I've ever made were done in CFGs console) ?

I've just tested v52b2.
Great feature to have integrated play time logging into message board and Nintendo channel!

About translating problems, it's still the same. Read Language file topic to keep an eye on what's still missing.
Any news gannon?

When booting Disc on a Pal Wii I still have the bug:
"Loading IOS55"
ERROR: Apploader -4"

When loading Cfg from Homebrew channel and booting Disc it says:
"ERROR: ISFS problem (-22)
Error storing playlog file.
Start from the Wii menu to fix.
Press A to continue
Press B to to back
Press Home to exit"
And of course this text is kept untranslated :-/

(Note: I have enabled write_playlog = 1 in my config.txt and I have installed waninkoko rev17)

Oh well, if you have the newest CFG-Loader, you should be alright then.

I'm running into a couple of problems:

Setup info:
wii running
4.2u
cIOS rev17
configurable usb loader v.51a
usb harddrive setup with one fat32 partition

problem 1:
Certain games will seemingly rip just fine to the harddrive in ConfUsbLoader v51a. But when I try to run these games(wii sports resort, wii CIS) it just goes to the wii system menu. All other games it ripped to the harddrive work fine.

problem 2:
When I try to update to the newest version of ConfUsbLoader(52b2 or any others on the list of updates) when I restart the program it just goes to a black screen and doesn't load.

Thank you for any and all help in advance!

You can change the chosen partition while running in either version by going to the global options page and selecting the partititon option. There are two versions because each starts out with a different IOS. The non-fat version starts with IOS249, the fat version starts with IOS222. There are also a few changes in the default configuration options to optimise for each drive type.

Yeah, it seems gannon didn't fully revert the disc loading code as he told me. Ignore the disc loading reversion point in the change log.

For WSR, you need to run it once from the original disc or use the alternate .dol method. It will work from then on just normally.

Strange. It seems your download is always corrupting somehow. Not sure what could cause this...

I was able to update it manually to 52b2 by replacing the .dol file on the harddrive, it seems weird because I have 3 other wii's i've setup like this but this is the only one that corrupts the boot.dol upon updating.

I removed the game from my configurable usb loader, ran it from the disc channel, and then exited, went back into the usb loader and ripped it to the harddrive. It still just goes to the system menu...
Am I misunderstanding the instructions?

If it doesn't load after an update, check that the dol, has been renamed correctly, or that it isnt 0kb on your sd card (or usb hdd). Happened to me once a while back, i think my wireless died during an update and it didnt like that.

EDIT: Nevermind then

Still not sure about why it corrupts.

I assume the game you mention is WSR. Did you watch the entire MotionPlus video? Sorry, I forgot to mention that part. Oh, you don't need to delete and rerip the game either.

That's great thanks. Actualy running out of space on my hdd but have 100 gig of fat32 empty

I figured out the issue with my games freezing, like the Mario Kart Wii video I posted a few days ago.

I redownloaded Mario Kart (I own the disc, I just dont have it here at college with me...) and copied it to the hard drive. It now works properly, leading me to believe that half of the games on my hard drive are now corrupted, and will continue to freeze until i delete them and copy them back onto the drive, which i really dont want to do, because it will take forever!

And not all games are affected. Only certain ones... so i dont know which ones i should replace.

Anyone know of a file-checking utility that would check for errors on files?

I did an online update to 52b Fat and I noticed that when I launch a game now it says load yal instead of m-load.
I don't even have that installed only Hermes cIOS 222.
No big deal the games play fine, but I wanted to make it known and see if anyone else is seeing this.
