When I load Silent hill thru conf usb loader it goes to white screen only and will flash a couple times before I have to hard reset. Is this a problem game?
Im new to the usb loaders and havent had any problems until this one and havent ever seen a plain white screen before. any suggestions? Thanks

NTSC
cfg usb v48
8 GB sandisk SD card (other games work fine)
used xzxero's great simplistic mod guide last week with 249v14

I am having the exact same problem. (NTSC, USB Loader GX, games on HDD.) Can anyone out there help?
Ok. I couldn't find any answers so I decided to grab straws and DL and install a copy from another source. This time it loaded up & played fine! I guess I had a bad copy before. Maybe you do too afnuke. Check it out and let me know if that fixes. Good luck.

If the ISO fits

If its more than 4GB, it won't fit on FAT32
you can always scrub the iso
wink.gif

Scrubbing isn't enough, you must shrink it too, or it will keep its 4.X GB I thought
sort of i have all my scrubbed iso's on my disk and they take up 140gb BUT since there scrubbed the actual size on disc is only 61.5gb
the only downfall is if u move them it makes them full size again u have to scrub them to another directory if u want them moved which is why a compressed iso would be better in that sake but if u dont need to move them then its not really a problem

i just got to keep doing more reading , but i cant find any individual with my specific problem on any forum

i appologies for littering this forum with this issue, coders done a great job and it ROCKS!

have a small fat partition 5 or 10 gig depending on what u wanna do(how many games u wanna install b4 u convert them)
load your apps etc off sd card
install games to your fat partition then take it to your computer, convert them to iso files scrub (and transfer in 1 go otherwise they unscrub) onto the ntfs in a folder named wbfs in the root directory of the ntfs partition

@DiZ420:
Umm, I don't even understand anymore if you still have a problem or not?

@theclear:
Using .wbfs files will probably be easier for you.

so let me get this straight, since my drive is already partitioned (fat32 for apps, etc, and wbfs for wii games), can I make my wbfs partition ntfs instead and just convert my isos to .wbfs and put them in a folder called wbfs?

I really want to use the ISO file on a NTFS partition. but I couldn't found the info about how to use it.
wacko.gif
and I don't have time to read all 540 pages for it.
wacko.gif

any one can give me the link to the info? or show it to me at here?

No need to read all the 540 pages but you could at least read the 1st post entirely including the FAQs.
The 1st post contains enough info and pointers to other tutorials and tools to get you setup.

I am confused about these 2 version:

cfg51.dol
cfg51-fat.dol
which version I must to use?

and these info:

and
QUOTE
Q: Can it play .iso files directly?
A: No. Only .wbfs files can be used. To convert from .iso to .wbfs use the wbfs_file utility.

Haha, you're right, the info is kinda confusing, as I haven't updated all the FAQs after new features were introduced.

Anyway, to run games from NTFS, you need:
cfgXX-fat
ios222
it will work with both .iso and .wbfs files hey have to be named either:
/wbfs/game name [ID]/ID.wbfs or: /wbfs/game name [ID]/ID.iso

cfg51-fat.dol is for fat32 drives/partitions
yes, you can load .iso files directly from fat32/ntfs, but keep in mind that if your iso is over 4gb, you need ntfs

okay, now I'm really confused, I converted all my .iso to .wbfs and put them in the wbfs folder on my ntfs partition. Now, when I go to load a game, the only settings I have for ios are either 222 or 223, what happen to 249?

Loading games from FAT or NTFS only works with IOS 222/223

my keyboard doesn't work with animal crossing! it works fine with the disc, and I can't recall if it worked fin with 249, but its not working on 222 or 223. Is it an IOS issue or USB power?

I'm using 52b-FAT with 2 NTFS partitions. I've set up CFG to mount NTFS1 on startup since it's my main partition, but NTFS2 is used for testing..

When I try to mount NTFS2, it's marked as used, but CFG is still using NTFS1. All the titles shown are from the first partition and they work just as if I was using it.

Basically, I can't seem to mount NTFS2 at all.

Let me know if you need more info.

Cheers.

It's probably an IOS issue. Try other combinations of merging IOSes with 222 and 223. Apparently, IOS36 has keyboard support whereas IOS38 may not, so maybe try installing IOS223 as v3 instead of v4 ( you can get the v3 installer from v2.8 of uLoader or similar).
