Also, every time I try to start Config USB Loader, it tries to mount the hard drive and always ask me to select a partition. How do I go about saving my partition settings so when I start Config USB Loader, it always go to my partition with games?

It says "WARNING: Partition WBFS1 not found! Select a different partition" and then I have to select my partition. It's annoying

just as long as you still have the original WAD on your SD/USB you can go into wad manager, select IOS 249, no NAND, uninstall, and click it. done!

There are two ways. Either add the "partition" option to config.txt, such as "partition=WBFS2" or "partition=FAT1", or save your global options, which will add the "partition" option value to settings.cfg.

So I'm trying to run SW3.
I have to use CIOS222/223, right?
I installed them, ran them once, fantastic.
Now if I try to run it again, it just freezes at loading IOS 222/3 mload .....
I re-installed IOS 223 and it worked again... once.
What the shit?

This might be something akin to the old rev13 reset bug. Try switching off your console before running it the second time.

What if you switch off the drive?
I always do that, since it never recognizes the drive right away; I have to turn it off and on about 2 or 3 times until it does.
What version of the loader are you using? Try making it default to ios222 or ios223 by adding "ios-222-mload" or "ios=223-mload" to your config.txt.

It now works on my slightly older revision (not sure which one it is, but it is one where you cannot change saved options without discarding them first)
It doesn't work on the channel version for me.

So have there been any decision on what formats to support when it comes to the .bca files, binary or plain text, or both?

Edit:
Oh and maybe have the .BCA files in

./BCA/gameid.bca ( like sd://usb-loader/bca/gameid.bca or sd://apps/whatever/bca/gameid.bca )
iirc they are binary files, and reside in /usb-loader/

so if I click on update to the configurable usb loader , will it change any of my internal wii files? ,
or will it simply update the configurable usb program itself ?
I am running 4.6 now with a forwarder can I still use the update feature?
will my config files be affected? Thanks for your time ...Bud

No the online update will not erase or change anything except the dol for the loader.

It just downloads the new DOL and replaces the old one with it.

Oggzee also made the loader so it will create a backup of the previous dol if you ever want to go back to it.

QUOTE(oggzee @ Dec 2 2009, 08:54 PM) * Rename old boot.dol to boot.dol.bak when upgrading

sorry if this is already mentioned somewhere. game compatibility with fat-loaded games is a bit restricted now (as of cfg loader (fat) using only ios222). or am I wrong? I can't load guitar hero 5.

Any PC apps that would make wads out of ISO's for a Wii that uses rev 15 (Wank), IOS 249 (/222 for multiple partitions), firmware 4.2 (not through Nintendo)?. . . .

And I think mostly uses a Hardrive (instead of an SD card) for all the Wii (game) loading . . .

yes ur wrong, u have to use IOS 223 v4 for some guitar hero games
That's not 100% correct. What you need to do is use an IOS222/223 that has been merged with IOS37 on installation. The slot you put it into (222/223) doesn't matter at all.
