Hi Oggzee,

can i use ios222 with the config loader?
http://www.elotrolado.net/hilo_utilidad-ul...-idioma_1217626

Unfortunately not yet, although the ios option is there, it doesn't work right it think. Although i have tested it with kwiirk's ios222 not hermes, so I don't know, you can try with ios=222 option, but most likely it won't work :s

btw, Mario Galaxy works fine for me with ios 249 and cfg loader, so not sure what's the problem, probably it's a hdd issue...

ok. will this be possible in future releases? and the strange thing is that i never had any problems with Galaxy, played it a couple of times with nog problems..till this weekend :-(
got a Seagate Freeagent Go 320 with the power settings/sleep disabled... and it only happends with Galaxy. All other games (like wiifit, kart, zelda etc) work fine

Do you intend to use Hermes's update to add USB peripheral support?

probably, if waninkoko doesn't do an update to his cios release then yes.

Just out of the labs:

NEW: cfg v30x: (experimental)

http://sharebee.com/e74cccf8

Changes:

- Guess
- fixed crash when using some forwarders

Let me know if you figure it out what is new

Themes???
More 9 hours before I will be at home testing this... is killing me.
Btw I found new bug on the MP3 background playing. It skips the first few seconds, and it still shutter while mounting the WBFS partition/HDD.

Okay that was seriously cool... =)

But it breaks the normal view when going back to it (but just a little)
* Transparancy get altered so its not 100% (changing/switching theme fixes it again)
* background image in console area gets a little bit offset (by a few pixels, changing/switching theme fixes it again)

Took me a while before I noticed

I'm experiencing much of the same as PNo4 but not quite, switching themes doesn't fix it, here are some pics taken with my phone:

This is how it looks when it first loads:

This is after trying the new feature:

This is after switching between themes:

And just noticed another thing, if I try(or rather accidently tell it) to download all cover images from the options screen it code dumps. I don't have network enabled on my Wii so that's probably the reason.

This one works correctly with universal forwarder R4.

- Guess ; Hey, oggzee you add fantastic functions !!!!

* Bug found :
to change the theme, when I click left Dpad button, it shows code dump error...

Now, what is your next version plan? This version changed too much....

How about the ability to set the current theme as the "default" theme when the loader starts. I apologize if this has already been implemented, but I don't see any way to do this using version 29d. Any insight would be greatly appreciated; thanks in advance.

That's already done.

- option: theme = Theme_Name
Load a specified theme from sd:/usb-loader/themes/Theme_Name/theme.txt

(I forgot to add the option to the options list, but it is mentioned in the changelog)

Thanks for the quick reply. I apologize for not explaining myself properly. I was looking for the ability to browse through themes within the app, and select a particular theme (on-the-fly) to be changed to the "default"; without having to remove the SD card and edit the config file. Do you have the ability to modify the config file on the fly like that....? If I'm the only person that might find this useful, than please disregard. Let me add that you've done a fantastic job with all of the programming updates.

NEW: cfg v30b: (beta)

http://sharebee.com/7c88b04e

Code:
 - GUI Mode (beta)
ÂÂ By default console mode is started.
ÂÂ To switch to GUI mode, press B in main screen.
ÂÂ While in GUI mode, the following buttons are used:
ÂÂÂÂÂÂbutton A : start selected game
ÂÂÂÂÂÂbutton B : return to console mode
ÂÂÂÂÂÂbutton LEFT/RIGHT : previous/next page
ÂÂÂÂÂÂbutton UP/DOWN : switch number of rows (1-3)
ÂÂÂÂÂÂbutton 1, +, - : options, install, remove
ÂÂÂÂÂÂbutton HOME : exit
ÂÂ The background image in GUI mode can be changed with the file:
ÂÂÂÂÂÂsd:/usb-loader/themes/Theme_Name/bg_gui.pngÂÂor
ÂÂÂÂÂÂsd:/usb-loader/bg_gui.png
- option: gui = [1], 0, start
ÂÂ Enable or disable GUI mode.
ÂÂ Using gui = start will start directly in GUI mode when loader is started.
- Start music only after usb hdd device is opened, to avoid stuttering
ÂÂ while initializing the usb device.
- Other minor fixes
- fixed crash when using some forwarders

Yeah, theme switching after entering gui mode can crash.
I have got a fix ready, will release it in the evening.

Other than that, how do you like the new gui mode?
Any suggestions for improvements?
Any critical remarks?

I have been playing around with my HD and now that I have a second partition that is fat32 formatted I was wondering how easy it would be to have all the covers loaded from that partition or even all the currently SD:\usb-loader folder. I guess my thoughts would be how to avoid having the SD card in the wii at all times. I know how to make a channel that includes the boot.dol so that does not need to forward to the SD card. I haven't figured out how to use a forwarding channel to load from the HD either. I take my save games with me to my buddies house and I don't always remember my SD card when I leave.

That's relatively simple to do and I plan to do it someday.
