I am using 31c version, 4.0 NTSC, with rev10 (only one that works)..I have installed Hermes 222 &223 and have written the config txt add on ios=223-mload.. It doesnt recognize my hard drive but when i remove the ios223mload from the config txt. file it works like a charm. Any suggestions?

might be a dense question. i set it to download missing covers and it did which was great. guitar hero world tour isn't there though, so i downloaded a cover for it in 130x225 from the otherzone.com and placed it in sd:/usb-loader/covers in the same naming convention as the other games - but it still isn't showing up. am i doing something wrong?
if i manually try to download the cover in the '1' menu, it says invalid png (which incidentally is what it says on theotherzone.com when i try to download the 16:9 cover...

The cover for SXAP52.png is a JPEG. Open it in Photoshop or whatever you use and save it as a PNG and it'll probably fix it. And if it does, let the guys at that site know so they can fix it.

try switching usb ports, try setting ios in game settings instead of config.txt, does uloader with 222/223 work?

I just tried that and it goes into the game selection with the covers but I have to manually scroll the screen using the D-Pad on the wii remote, how do I get it to scroll? like in the videos on 1st post

Are you using the latest version - 31c
note: one of the forum topics points to 31b, which does not have the flow-z gui mode
How many games do you have?
Have you tried pressing dpat-up or down multiple times, to switch between modes, does that work?
(once you hit the row limit (1 or 4) it changes modes)
The mode is displayed for a few seconds in the right bottom corner...

if you are using a forwarder channel it could be the reason , try to run the loader from HBC and see if it work better , I've had a couple issues running it via forwarder

and by the way this is the BEST LOADER out and open final decision

You have put the USB drive into the USB port nearest to the edge of the Wii, right? It will only work in that port.

make sure you are putting it in both config.txt files. (sd:/apps/USBLoader and sd:/usb-loader/)

I had tons of issues with CIOS rev 13 and 13b

, loader hanges between games, need to reset, loading games is very slow, etc

. I had reverted back to rev11 and everything works back as normal, I don't use Mic yet!?

I am betting you have v31b instead of v31c because this happened to me, I had openen an old zip with the wrong release in.

cfg v31c (bug fixes / minor improvements)

- option gui=start will switch to gui directly after device init, without first displaying the game list in console mode

With this switch set, I still get the console view showing up while the drive initialises albeit with no games listed. Is it likely that in future releases it would be possible to boot directly into GUI mode without having the console view shown at all?

This happens to me too, hope you can fix it

For me, start directly into the gui without first displaying the console only works if i start 31c via HBC, Preloader or Forwarder. If i use the full channel, linked in the first post, the console is displaying before the gui is shown. With full channel, something is wrong.

How does you start your CFG Loader?
