if this computer would be good for school work,movies and games.

you would need a graphics card for gaming since this one has an older onboard one. And I have no clue if the motherboard has PCI-express.

this setup even has a graphics card that will work good with your motherboard because the mobo is equipped with hybrid crossfire technology. Of course I don't know if the prices in Canada are higher or lower and if your interested in making your own system
