Homebrew Computer simulator?

I'm wondering if there is anyone who knows of a game that simulate computer hardware engineering, software reverse engineering or anything like that. Preferrably a real simulator, not a simplified version or something.

By some reason it seems more fun doing it in a game than irl, haha.

Anyone who knows of something like this? It doesn't have to be computing, it can be cars, TVs or such, aswell.

In worst case scenario it doesn't have to be for the NDS, it can be for PC, too but I put it in the NDS forum because it would be preferred.

Sorry, I might have been unclear. I didn't really mean an emulator, I meant simulator. A game... Kind of.

For example, you repair a computer in a game. Or a car. Or something. And not a simplified game, more of an in depth game, almost as if I was doing it for real.

Although a very interesting game concept, it seems very unlikely that what you're looking for actually exists for any platform.

It's quite fun to do real reverse engineering though (as you maybe already know) and there are many challenges on the internet for that, with difficulty levels ranging from complete beginner to leeth4x0r.

Although not really related to what you're asking for, there's also the game Uplink for Linux/Windows/Mac in which you hack computers. Although it is in no way realistic, it isn't really extremely simple either (and it's actually quite fun).

You seem to be describing a CAD program. http://www.pdroms.de/files/1515/ is about the only thing like it I have seen on the GBA or DS.

There are games like pocket physics http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=1810 too that prove to be amusing (trying to predict)

Likewise some of the emulators on the GBA and DS do have debugging grade features (memory viewers and up).

If you can stretch to biology http://fold.it/portal/ has it.

Game wise there are http://www.crackmes.de/ and http://www.hackertest.net/ and countless clones/variations of both sites- he who captures hacking is he who captures physics though and that is not something humankind has managed thus far.

That's kind of a bummer, but I didn't really think there was anyways. Maybe I'll have to make one myself.

I've actually never tried it, although I'd like to. I have been close to downloading some simple crackmes quite a few times but I always think that I don't have the time to learn, or something but sometime I will try and learn.

I thought that if I played a game instead I would find the time that I "didn't have", haha.
