Hacking Complete noob here. Questions about CFW.

So I'm a complete noob so don't mind me.
I wanted to try to install a CFW. The one by Plailect. I followed the tutorial till i came to this part :https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Firmware-Downgrade. I dont have hardmod nor do i have a second 3ds with CFW. Does this mean i have no chance of getting a CFW?

Another question if you don't mind. I heard you can downgrade with ninjahax. Would this work if I use ninjahax with cubic ninja on sky3ds flash card?

ninjahax is arm11 userland exploit.
But you need arm11 kernel exploit to downgrade which right now is blocked on fw 11.0+.
Also, even though you can run arm11 kernel exploit, arm9 will interupt the downgrade in fw 11.0+.

So, no. If you see someone downgrade on 11.0+ using cubic ninja on youtube, that's a video recording downgrade on hardmoded system.
If you're not a pro, i suggest you to hire a pro to do hardmoding for you.

Yes.

Edit - oh sorry, didn't notice that you said 2nd 3DS needs hardmod. As @nechigawara said, no the second one doesn't need hardmod but does need to have CFW.

Second 3ds don't need to be hardmoded, but need CFW installed.
