Hacking COD5 Backup - Continuous disc read

Hi everybody

I tried my backup copy of Call of Duty 5 and when I'm playing I heard the dvd drive reading continuosly, also when the game is paused.

I re-burned with a new media (Verbatim DVD+R with DVD-ROM Booktype) but the issue still continue


Is this a known problem with COD5?
Any help is appreciated.

Yeah it's a known issue.

I've stopped playing it for now

COD5 is always constantly loading, even with the orignal copy, i rented the orignal copy about 2 weeks ago and it makes as much noise as the backups. Believe me, go and rent the game yourself and see.

I can confirm that doing this trick:

....on the NTSC copy of CoD:WaW makes the loading just a tiny bit nicer...it takes a few more "breaks"...but not much.....tested on a chip, not a launcher.
