COD kiddies are going to be too busy looking at artificial cleavage to be worried about shooting other players!

Player 1: "Dude! I just bought this sweet gun! What did you buy?"
Player 2: "Binoculars with extra zoom....zoom.....ugh...."
Player 1: "Both hands on the keyboard Jimmy!"

*Cough cough*... Oh, someone say Borderlands 2? *cough*

Wait, people make fun of males that play as Maya? It's a gender-locked class, if you want to be a support/healer you gotta be the girl...
Unless I'm missing a joke or something. (I wouldn't be surprised, it's late here)

A worse example of what? Your post makes no sense to the average person.

You're talking about user generated maps. Hence, crap example. Not to mention, Counter Strike has absolutely nothing to do with this thread.

Gahars said that being a girl in a game won't get you bashed or bullied at all in Call of Duty. Which is true. Especially when so many other games these days allow you to play as the girl. Mass Effect, Borderlands 2. If someone was going to "bully" you in a game, they would have done it no matter what.

I think the point i was trying to drive home got a bit lost in translation.

A Boy playing as a girl could be a massive dick.
A girl playing as a guy could be a massive dick.
A girl VOICE playing as a guy opens the window of people being a dick.
A girl VOICE opens the window for people being a dick.

Regardless of what the female gender choose in Ghosts, the opinion of the CoD community will remain the same, or even get slightly worse. We can all say we are model citizens and never discriminate online, but we only encompass an insanely small portion of that community. As well as the people who are complete dicks online.

None of you cant sit here and say that when some jackass online hears a girls voice they become alpha male. I think everyone took Gahars opinion a bit to factual over my opinion (as seems to be the case whenever he posts ever). A simple lost in translation kinda blew up.

The thing that you're not getting is that, you're going to run into assholes on every game, no matter what. This isn't some new thing. Girls play CoD, people will bully them. People will bully guys. Just because there is now a selection for a female character, doesn't change anything.

I just don't believe CoD anymore. In the past year or so I've completely changed camps, from CoD to BF. BF3 is just a MASSIVE improvement compared to BF2 and BF BC2, and the close quarters DLC really hurt CoD IMHO.
Not to say I don't enjoy the occasion CoD, but BF3 just awes me more. Looks so nice, feels so great, customization is wonderful, ...

lol someone has never played Counter Strike.
Most CS maps are better than anything the CoD devs could come up with.
There are good maps on CoD games though. I'm not the biggest fan of CoD, the only ones I've played are Black Ops and Black Ops 2 (Which both have really good single player stories), but while yes there are some shit maps, there are also some that are good. Now if Activision would allow for UGC, it would be amazing.

People just love to have something to hate on. Cod is Cod. It's the best baby sitter out there, why not let me keep the kiddies busy with new shiny stuff? And let me keep my fun multiplayer.

It's starting to be alot more like Battlefield, from what I can see. I'm actually kind of excited for this, knee sliding and mantling I think will help me rush wonderfully. If it's anything like MW3 was, though, I'll probably pass.

If adding the other half of the gender spectrum is evolving, you have about as low standards as the CoD devs do.
Its evolved into...nothing. Its still the same thing with shinier graphics and reshuffled guns that all basically do the same thing.
I'll just leave this here. While many say that CoD doesn't change, the new game is adding quite a few elements to the game. They may seem small and nothing special, but the same can be said for many other games too. even some whole genres as a whole. Many hate Call of Duty games because they're "yet another CoD game".

Oh god even CoD has a pet system.

If they add dragons I'll play.

EDIT: But only if I can mount my dragon for a killstreak.

Maps are still maps.

Pretty excited for Ghosts. The new movement system will really help with the fast-paced gameplay CoD is known for. The new guns are looking pretty damn sweet too, especially the shotguns and the new marksman rifles.

Maps are still maps.
Quality of maps >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Volume of maps

I'll take six or seven quality maps that I can learn and enjoy over thousands of maps that are not only hit or miss, but require me to learn potentially dozens of maps, leaving me at a large, consistent disadvantage compared to people that have been playing Counter Strike forever now. And really, is Counter Strike even still relevant? I'm sure there's a diehard player base, but besides that, Counter Strike comes up about as often as any other game from the turn of the century anymore (read: not at all). The amount of "hell no" that comes with the idea of playing against people who have been playing the same favorite maps for years now with the same weapons and the like is astronomical. It's much more satisfying hopping into a newer iteration of an established series where everybody is a little in the dark in terms of game mechanics and map layouts.

Can we just accept that Counterstrike and CoD are different breeds of games and move on instead of inserting our "my game is better" dick into every conversation?

Of course Counterstrike has more shit to it, its been out for like god knows how long and has been incredibly community driven. So that means mods, maps, modes, and so on.

It's the third, sixth, and ninth most played games on Steam (well, in order, Counterstrike: GO, Counterstrike, and Counterstrike Source).
