Title.
Cleanrip doesn't mount my usb's (I tried 3) and when I tried using the front SD, it did do 1/3 of the dual-layer disc (smash bros), but then it exited to the HBC menu. When it exited to the HBC menu, it did not show the SD card. I had to reinsert it so the apps would show up.
Anything I can do?

if your USB is a flashdrive, it's probably why it's not working.
SD card is FAT32 and can't have a file bigger than 4GB, so maybe it's your issue? maybe it corrupts the SD card file's table by trying to store more data that it can manage.

I don't know if it can do the dump in multiple passes or with split files on FAT32 devices, but I think you have the option to dump to LAN (local network using smb/shared folders on windows).
or try with another USB device, preferably an external hard drive (not a flash stick) formatted to NTFS.

Haven't heard of this.

I don't have Windows, so that's going to be difficult...
I also did chunks of 3 (on the cleanrip menu).

ah, it can cut in chunks? so I don't know why it doesn't work.
sorry, I didn't try that homebrew.

You can dump other game discs without problem?
do you really need or want the full iso, or do you want a dump to play the game on USBLoaders?
You could try USBLoaderGX or CFGLoader.
I've read wiiflow has issue dumping discs.
I've also read USBLoaderGX has issues dumping Smash Bros, but maybe it's a setting issue. be sure you select "remove update" or "keep everything".
do not choose "keep game only" or you'll miss the Additional partitions present on that disc.

I can't confirm it will work, but it's worth a try if you don't want a full 1:1 ISO.

I found out what was causing the problem.
To use a usb with cleanrip, you HAVE to format it to use the Master boot record for the wii to mount it.
