Hey all! So I was browsing the internal ps4 HDD in hopes that maybe I can reduce some game sizes by removing unwanted languages and the like (like we used to do on ps3) but started getting really confused.

I managed to locate what seems to be the install location (user/app) but they contain pkg files? Does the ps4 literally just read from the pkg files instead of writing them to folders like the ps3 did?

Also I found the user/download folder with a ton of stuff in it as well. Tons of download0.dat files. What’s up with that?

thanks for any info!

Havent found a decent tool that does that. Any recommendations or anything with a GUI?

Asks in the AIO Guide, @KiiWii might be able to help, I been out of the scene for a while, haven't touch my PS4 for a while, in general if you want to remove stuffs you need to understand the file structure. Easier solution just get a larger drive.

Yeah but sometimes its very obvious in the file structure. Especially if they store multiple languages.
