Gaming city builder games

anyone know of any really good ones?
i was addicted to sim city 3000
and i wanna know if there is anything out there that could be as good

SimCity DS is ok for a handheld, but it doesn't compare to Simcity 3000 for the PC.

If you have a descent PC the latest city simulator is Cities XL, which has multiplayer, but has monthly fees like an MMO.

Edit: I forgot there is also SimCity Creator which is the followup to SimCity DS. Never tried it but does offer more than the first Simcity DS.

Well, Sim City DS and Anno are REALLY the only city builders, but there are games that are kind of like city builders.

You could try Theme Park DS. It's a great port of a great DOS game. It's not exactly a city builder, but it proved to be almost just as challenging.

Yeah, I realized that halfway into the thought, and then I was like "Dude, man, I do that when i'm like, you know, high, man..."
