I...don't really understand the news value. Steam has had so many free weekend tryouts that I assume they hold one every weekend.

Erm...I think the link in the OP has changed since you checked. It currently reads "Cities: Skylines is free to try on Steam right now (update)".

As mentioned, Polygon messed up and apparently doesn't know Steam free weekend things happen literally all the time. Updated the title, so people aren't confused, and I'm just gonna move this to the PC section since it's not really newsworthy.
