Hacking ciosx d2x help

trying to install the new ciosx and ran into some troubles...

I installed the file cios249[58]-v21d2x4.wad via multi-mod manager and everything seemed fine until i loaded a game and it just gave an error log...is there more than 1 file i need to install? i thought this would be the same as updating from rev19 etc..also tried to install with homebrew installer but it starts to check files from download and produces a hash error so it doesn't finish.

Don't use IOS58 as base unless you really have to. It's buggy and ultra slow.

Use base 56 for slot 249 and base 57 for slot 250. That should give you good compatibility.

And use the latest version ( version 6 )

thanks for the input. I think i was confused by the fact it asked for a place to install to and previous updates I've never been posed with that question or I had a guide with the answer I suppose. Also, I installed v4 because that's what ModMii gave me as the newest one, I'm going to download v6 now and give that a try, using 57 and installing both 249 and 250. thanks again guys.
