Guys how risky is this to use im on 4.1 and have preloader installed if it all went wrong and bricked could it be recovered via preloader

yes providing its not the cIOS60 install that breaks

and 3.3 is out now, personally unless you really have no other option but to use discs (i.e. cant afford a USB Drive or have kids who cant use a loader). then its not worth the risk for a beginner

Thanks ! yeah i just want to keep it as simple as i can for the kids to use, ive got usb loader gx and neogamma r6 at the mo but it would make it easy for them booting from the disc channel
Also would it work with the newer games and can it be reversed if i wanted to

You could always create game forwarder channels (I have my system menu filled up for the 40ish backups), Basically I use this, real simple if you have the games already on USB and are familiar with USB Loader settings http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=153471
If you have a lot of games you could just do the ones the kids play.
