Hacking cIOS36_rev9 or cIOS36_rev10

i havnt installed cios on my wii yet. but would it be better to install cIOS36_rev9 or cIOS36_rev10. im not really interested in sd loading. and what would be the best loader for a pal wii, because there are so many different versions (i dont really care for cheats, i just want best compatibility)

I presume you mean USB loader? The Ultimate loader ver 7 is probably your best bet

If you use USB Loader 1.4 with Rev 10, its slower by 18 times compared to 1.1

If you use USB Loader 1.4 with Rev 10, its slower by 18 times compared to 1.1

That's the fault of USB loader 1.4, not cIOS rev 10. Ripping games with cIOS rev 10 and USB Loader 1.1 is just as fast as cIOS rev 9 and USB 1.1 (for me anyway)

Ripping games to HDD, there's no difference with loading/playing

Rev 10 as said above is 100% fine and the slowdown on usbloader 1.4 only comes into play if your ripping the game from your wii using 1.4!

This, like I said, it's the fault of USB loader 1.4, NOT of cIOS rev 10

I can also back up that rev 10 is perfect with 1.1

a very visible bug that rev 10 has is if you go to data management then to the channel area the usb loader channels show up as "?" channels rather than with rev 9 they showed the actual channel

questions:
what is the benefit of rev 10?
can we downgrade back to 9?
why did they make 1.4 if its slower than 1.1?
and finally are they working on fixing the long ripping problem with 1.4/rev10?

I think it adds sd loader support for wii games from the wii's sd slot

yes , just install rev 9 as you did before and it will overwrite rev 10

why did they make 1.4 if its slower than 1.1

Compatability and bug fixes + more features ie cover support & more....... but some bugs appear as a result
