Hacking cIOS rev5 Backup Modification

All right linkinworm. Go ahead and call this project fake and dumb. If you think that I'm faking, that's your prob, I'll continue making this project and you are not gonna stop me. Is this how you get people to give you copies of beta homebrew? You probably want me to just give you a copy so you can show it off. Linkinworm, have you even developed anything? Did you see me in my topic say I DID NOT USE THE LEAKED REVISION5! Second, what are you going to get off calling my project fake. Just reply. That's all.

uhm, dude, this has been around for a long, long time. Why dont you leave the coding to the people that know what they're doing. WiiGator is making some great progress towards Disc Channel direct booting, and myself have almost finished adding in GC backup support to his loader (still pre-alpha tho).

But so you know, there are a couple different ways of tackling the Disc Channel goal, one of which is fairly easy to implement (but assumes Wiigator's apploader will be a complete replacement for the original apploader). I've already accomplished this, but because the cIOS does not recognize GC backups in the system menu yet, and retail games crash the system menu as well its not really worth using yet (more of a headache).

Unfortunately the "bugs" i listed above are in the cIOS itself, and must be corrected before any disc channel based booting can be a reality.

actualy yea i did release something a long time ago so dont try that shit with me http://www.qj.net/Rin-Wii-unofficial-Reboo...g/49/aid/119506 and 2 why is it going to take you 4 months to make something thats only about 10 lines of code? i already have a sysmenu patcher and it doesnt use marcans tool. i dont want your "betas" because anything you can do ANYONE can do better

lol, in 3 months wiigators and waninkokos loader will be perfect, the only thing they will need to work on would be new games working with it. wanin got a load of shit done the other night, so all these fixes are not needed anymore how does 90% compatability with all games sound now?

Not sure why everyone is bashing this guy just because he says he's done something himself that has already been done by others. Nobody got on Wiigator's case when he announced his backup launcher even though Waninkoko had already written one. And Requiem4d is writing his own (with others), but that seems ok with everyone...
I'm not saying this is for real but, hey, chill out, give the guy a chance to show us something if he has done the work.

All right fuck this project. Even when I do release it I will get a bunch of crap comments. I have quit working on it. And now I am simply giving out private releases on youtube. Oh and don't try to get me to give them here. CUZ I WON'T!

I'm with this guy. All the hate seems premature. Give him a chance to prove himself. Then if he fails to come through, you can take him to task for it and make yourself feel a little bit better about yourself in the process, you internet tough-guys you.
