Hello!!! I recently bought an android tablet and a cable so I can hook up gamepads, USBs etc. I want to play Chrono Trigger and this question came to mind. Should I play it on the 10.1" tablet or the NDS?
P.S. Is the android version compatible with a gamepad?

The "Android Version" is just an emulator running a Chrono Trigger SNES rom... And is usually the best way to experience the game. The loadtimes of the PS1 version are just unbearably slow, I have both the SNES and DS ROMs on my R4i 3DS Gold card. Both versions run great. But until a better DS emulator comes out for Android, I'd stick to playing the SNES ROM on the tablet, and the DS ROM on the DS.

I don't think the android version is compatible with a gamepad. I would go with the DS version because it's better than the SNES version and as JayRo said, the Android version is actualy the SNES one.
