Non-profit game publisher OneBigGame has announced that it's bringing Chime to the PC later this summer. The PC version of the popular Xbox Live Arcade puzzler will be available exclusively on Steam, and like the XBLA release, portions of the proceeds (equivalent to 5 percent of the purchase price) will support charity organizations like the Starlight Children's Foundation and Save the Children.

In case you're not already acquainted with Chime, the game essentially boils down to a clever mash-up between Lumines and Qix. Along with everything that made the XBLA version so great, the Steam edition of Chime is also set to include an additional level featuring the song "Still Alive" from the Portal soundtrack.

Developer ZoeMode lists a September 6 release date for Chime on its official website.[/p]

Chime's a little known XBLA game that's actually a lot of fun. I bought it off a whim a month or two ago and it was definitely worth the price (I got it on sale for $3 but it normally sells for $5, but regardless it's worth at least the $5). Plus part of your purchase goes to charity, so there's no reason not to spend your $5 on this.

Plus you get Still Alive as a playable song!

Sounds like something I'd love.

Look forward to grabbing it.

You know you wanna.

I lol'd at the game genre. Charity puzzler, really? What's next, charity shooters?

Looks like it could be a lot of fun for a couple of minutes though (which is good, because my usual attention span for puzzle games is less than a minute before I get bored and start craving for some ARPG goodness).

Well it's a "music puzzler" but I just put charity in it since it is made by a nonprofit developer and part of your purchase goes to charity.

Looks pretty awesome.

All I could think of when I read the title was an episode of Pokemon I caught while channel flipping. There were a bunch of Chingling and they were going "Chingling-ling-ling-ling-ling-ling-ling....."

I didn't know until 3 months ago, when Portal was free for a while.

Same here...I enjoy Portal...my sister got it for free too, but Vista won't let her play it.
I have vista and I can play portal(non-steam version) just fine.(except my graphics card sucks ass and I have to put everything on low in order to get good fps)
