Is there a WAD Manager that only handles VC/WiiWare titles and refuses to do anything with system titles? If yes, can i please have a link? If not, any volunteers?

the normal wad manager only can install and uninstall wads that are on the sd card
so if you just put the vc/wiiware wads there, there's no risk

in his basement, yes

Well it's simple, just check the title id, if high word of it is "00010001" then simply refuse to install...
But with the volume of applications created every day I can't see any value in creating one...

My idea was to have a WAD Manager children can use themselves to install new games without the danger of damaging the system. But the check if a banner is safe is missing. So it would not be really safe, even if someone made it.

Well they cant do anything to your Wii System if you dont have any dangerous wads right?

right but wiipower you are a great coder why dont you make it do check on the banners and stuff

by child safe i think wiipower is just being nice (this is happening a lot latley he must've got laid!!!

) and means noob safe, like the fools that delete system menus and important ios's
this is a good idea
me thinks

It would be nice if there was a wad manager program could read your wii system and identify the system menu it has and what ios file it uses and then refuse to uninstall that system menu wad and ios file.

I think it would be better if Wad Manager would spit out a big fat warning if you try uninstalling the System Menu or its IOS, but still give you the choice if you want to do it or not. In the end you should be able to do whatever you want, but not without fair warning. =P
