ok ive read all about the chickhen for psp. but all that i read say only the slim 2000. i have a psp 1000 with 5.00 ofw and im looking for the best way to get m33 on. can this be done with chickhen on psp 1000 (phat) or any other way? thanks

Yes...run ChickHen and then from there use Hellcats Recovery Flasher. ChickHen works on all PSP's...the CFW Enabler is currently Slim only.

ChickHen for all PSP's.

Yes I mean ALL (1000,2000,3000) the only exception is for 2000/3000 you need to upgrade to OFW 5.03.

ChickHen only works on 5.03 OFW.....unless you're on that firmware it won't run, irrespective of it being a PSP 1000, 2000 or 3000. The above post implies it'll run on a PSP 1000 on any firmware, when it needs to be on 5.03 too just like any other PSP.

the best/easiet way to get CFW on a phat or a hackable slim is via a pandora and mms

No it's not..the easiest way is to use the ChickHen and Hellcat's Recovery Flasher, as all it requires is a CFW compatible PSP on an official firmware of 5.03 or below. Many people find it difficult to obtain a Pandora battery with any degree of alacrity or frugality, so removing the need for an extra piece of hardware is surely easier?

i think we could go back and forth on this all day, but I still think pandora is the easiest way possible.

once in hand, it's probably the fastest way to do it too

Pandora is the easiest way possible. You can either buy one the Dattel pre-made ones or if you have access to someone with a flashed PSP, you are able to get them to modify their battery (for a short time) so that you can mod it.

Sigh....using your PSP to install CFW without needing to modify or buy another piece of hardware is far simpler. Yes the HEN is annoyingly erratic, but in the two or three days (or longer) you'd wait for a battery to arrive, you definitely would have got CFW installed via the HEN.

is there a guide for chickhen then hellcats Recovery Flasher. ive no idea where to start. whats this like for bricks? is it safe? i just read then that once m33 is on theres no recovery mode. im guessing thats when u hold R trigger on boot up...

also, i just read then that when hen is installed does it always boot to its own screen on start up, then u load m33 everytime? or do you load it from the photo each time u want to use m33?

You're reading too far...that's the CFWEnabler which you won;t ever need to use. PM incoming.

im not looking to use a pandora battery. just downloaded hellcats Recovery Flasher. reading all about it now. i think im getting it....
