Hacking Question checking your nintendo switch firmware?

pretty straight forward question. since the homebrew scene seems to be heating up, i would just like to know how to check which firmware my switch is on.

hey man, when i went to check, instead of showing me my firmware version, it just says “software update ready”.

i know i haven’t manually updated since mario odyssey but i wanted to make sure

If I were you, I would put my Switch into airplane mode, boot into Recovery Mode, exit Recovery Mode, and then check again.

I believe you have to restart the switch while simultaneously holding the + and - buttons down. Then check the same place you just checked and the firmware number should be there.
