Hacking CHEAT.DAT or USRCHEAT.DAT?

if one is better than the other, then is there a need for the other one?..

i have trouble with the usrcheat.dat and am using the cheat.dat with my R4DS.

Cheat.dat is encrypted, usrcheat.dat is not. Use either/or for the R4, but not both at the same time. Most people use the cheat.dat on the R4 and only use the usrcheat.dat in it if they want to add codes not found in the official cheat.dat.....like online WiFi codes, which are NOT added to the official cheat.dat.

In the official dat, both the cheat.dat and usrcheat.dat contain the exact same codes, so don't put both in there at the same time or many codes will not show. You CAN use a cheat.dat and a usrcheat.dat at the same time, but only if the codes are different between them.

one is bigger than the other because maybe one has more cheats on them? I dont think they differ from size unless they have different contents.

The size will only be different while they are compressed, since the encrypted file hardly shrinks.

I tried to use the usrcheat.dat(self-complied) once but it did not seem to work. Maybe I wasn't doing it properly but well since I can download the cheat.dat from here, I just used the cheat.dat. Size of the files does not matter much to me as I like to do housecleaning on my microSD every now and then.
