Cheat codes for physical NDS on Luma3DS

Basically I have an original copy of Mario Kart DS and I'd like to use the replay cheat code. I tried the Checkpoint App but it doesn't have anything available.
I was wondering if there is any way to do it manually maybe

By "original copy," I'm assuming you mean an authentic retail Game Pak, correct?

In that case, you'd want NitroHax3DS.

That's right, I should have came back with the answer myself.

NitroHax allows you to load a cheats file for cartridge games.

Although I'm still dying to find the cheat/replay code for Mario Kart DS that allows you to see the race's replay as seen when you're playing (instead of the useless Lakitu pov camera) as mentioned in this video at minute 16:50
