There's only one model on Amazon. That's weird.

Okay the XL model of O3DS uses the same battery as the N3DSXL, but no the original 3ds. That's what was in an Amazon review. So swap them batteries and see what happens.

strange i went to check the page again and the one who wrote the reply was the seller of the battery

yea i just checked on the amazon page for the link you posted and the seller of that battery was the one who answered that the battery wouldnt work on XL's

i swapped the batteries on both my N3DS's and the light seemed to go out as normal, especially when removing the back panel for whatever reason. might as well buy one and test to see if it works. they are not that expensive.

edit: btw thanks for all your responses, i appreciate your time.

Hmm. I had a friend come over last night and he brought his n3DS and I did the battery swap. Soon as I did, my charge light operated normally and his began showing the constant light symptom. It's definitely a battery. So that I won't be without my 3DS when sending it to Nintendo, I opted to buy an official battery instead. If nothing else, I'll also buy an external battery charger for this pack and have a battery I can swap out while on the go.

Give me lemons, Nintendo, and I'll make some awesome liquor to mix with them lemons.

It takes about 3 ½ hours to fully charge the battery pack with the power off, although this will vary depending on how much charge is left in the battery when the recharge begins. The system can be used while the battery is recharging, but this will increase recharging time.
