I'm sure this has been asked a million times before, but I couldnt find it. Is it possible through CFW to change the region of a PS3 so my USA model can play Aussie BR, DVD and PS1 games

Soooooooooo all I need to do is plug it in, change the settings and thats it
Well... you need to install their CFW and then plug it in.Your PS3 will be region free for BR-DVD-PS1.
You can also run everything from your hard drive but who would want to do that /sarcasm

There's also a homebrew which let you change DVD/Bluray region.
I'll post it here when I find it (it's on my HDD at home, and I'm at work :P)

I also remember I made a post in the PS3 hacking forum, you can find it with a search.

Edit:
http://gbatemp.net/topic/290515-change-region-to-play-region-b-blueray/page__view__findpost__p__3616243

It's a memory patch, and is automatically disabled on reboot.
It's cleaner than installing the dongle's private firmware.

The ps3 is region free for games only. Blu-ray and DVD are still region locked.
