Just copy everything to new card the "jailbreak" isn't installed on the SD card

It makes sense, I was afraid of doing this and screwing everything thanks bro.
Before copying stuff to the new sd card, make sure to test the new sd card with h2testw to check if it's fake or faulty, with read & write setting.
If it passes the test, then format it as FAT32 32kb clusters size and copy stuff to it.
If it didn't pass the test, then it's fake or defective and you shouldn't use it to store your data. Get another replacement sd card and test it just the same.

if you change your SD do not forget to rename the nintendo 3ds subfolders
You are making things more difficult than they actually are. A new folder with a new name is only created if you try to use an empty card. There is no need to do any renaming as long as you don't use the new SD card in the 3DS before copying everything (or at least without deleting everything on the card again before copying).

You can even look at Nintendo's official instructions. Installing CFW or using a very large SD card does not change this.

of course yo can follow the "official" instructions, but you must to be aware of:

with the official method you will loose all programs and save data.

the "official" method includes the use of system transfer needing nintendo servers to do it. and you can´t tranfers no-official content.

of course yo can follow the "official" instructions, but you must to be aware of:

Do not use save data from an old card after transferring.
Do not overwrite data by recopying to the same SD Card.
Do not click into the folder titled Nintendo 3DS to locate specific files. Always copy the entire folder, and never alter or erase the files it contains.

Copying data to the SD Card or microSD Card of a new system will not allow you to use the copied content on that system. If you wish to transfer content to a new system, you may find our information on How to Perform a System Transfer to Nintendo 3DS Family Systems helpful.
What do you mean? That always applies to the copying of SD card data.

Did you keep reading the rest of the page, or did you stop reading there!? This has nothing to do with System Transfer!
