Sweet :)

Btw, do any CFW support DS games (not 3ds)? Or should I just keep using my DS flashcart for that? It seems to work pretty well anyways!

Cheers

CFWs do not support booting DS games without a cart (yet, there a project going on, but nothing usable yet.)
So for now, just keep using your current DS flashcart.

Custom Firmware Custom Firmware Custom Firmware Custom Firmware Custom Firmware! (100x more!)
Seriously! I don't think you can run 3DS games on most flashcarts, and they get patched. If anything I recommend getting a bigger SD card and a CFW.
You can use FBI to download any game you want.

Sky3DS+ doesn't support Pokemon SuMo
Yet.
Someone on that ISO site claimed to make it work by modifying the firmware and the gametype, kinda the same way Gateway users did it.
IF it is true then the SKY team should be able to give a new firmware soon(tm). Or just disregard it and try to sell a new card :D

But anyway, if you have a downgradable firmware go the CFW way, there is no question about that.

CFW following Plailects guide 100%. keep your R4 games for playing DS games :)
And as stated above you can even make shortcuts on the 3DS homescreen to your DS games using forwarders :)

Since nintendo started banning people that used prereleased pokemon S&M and went online too,how safe is to use a9lh and CFW?can they detect who uses CFW and ban him too if they are online?

NO THEY CAN'T!!!!
It's extremly easy to debunk it. If you use mitm and log any data send from a 3ds to nintendo's server, then you can see without any doubt, that the tmd/tik version number is never send.... But people just don't want to hear it. Nintendo can't even see the difference between CIA and 3DS when connecting online, because it's the exact same file, you can check the sha256 if you want, it's the same.

things nintendo can see:
- cartridge / console unique id (header)
- device id (LocalFriendCodeSeed_ / moveable.sed / arm9 itcm memory)
- device certs (CTCert)
- device region (SecureInfo_ )
- device specific other id's (nex id, pss id, ...)
- nnid (if you have one)
- game version (code.bin)
- if you use game sync -> any cheated data

Reactions: PrometheusG.
But they could.
They could just compare what you have in your ticket.db to your actual purchase history not just the validity of the tickets.
So explain why haven't they done that? Also remember that carts where banned too so they clearly don't care.

I have no idea. Especially with all they already know about your console. I don't understand why they didn't make that extra step.
Not that I'm complaining thought :D

Edit: The same goes with the flashcart. Why the private header doesn't at least contain info about the game it is from? That way you wouldn't be able to use a header from OOT to play Pokémon...

IF i may...i was on 10.5 and have hacked/modded a number of systems. I installed CFW last weekend. It did NOT take 30 minutes to downgrade/downgrade/update/mod my system. More like 3 hours. I am not slow, i am not dumb, i know how to follow instructions to a tee. It took a lot longer than an hour. Now with that being said, i thoroughly enjoy hacking things so those 3 hours were some of the best 3 hours I've had in months..so i may have been a bit more thorough than most...but yeah, not happening in 30 mins. no way.

But was it worth it? Absolutely. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My point being, clear a night after 9pm to do it.
