Homebrew CFW not working after sd card died

Hi there , i have a problem , i installed cfw in my 3ds back in the days of a9lh , it worked fine , but my sd card died , and now i want to have cfw again , i know i need to upgrade to b9s but i dont have any files in my sd card besides the default ones...i really want to have acess to full homebrew for example....guys please help me , i dont know a lot about this , but im sure we can do this!

You should definitely upgrade to B9S. But normally it’s not a big deal, you still have cfw and don't need to re-hack. If you don’t have any issues, just follow the A9LH → B9S part of the guide. It is highly recommendable to test the new SD with h2testw before trusting it.

With this guide you get the latest version of:
  • B9S and Luma (with boot.firm copied to CTRNAND as a fail safe)
  • GodMode9
  • FBI
  • Homebrew Launcher
  • and some more.

And to do the upgrade i dont need any of the previous files that were on my dead sd card?

Not really. The guide tells you everything you will have to download.

If you do not have a backup of your
SD:/Nintendo 3DS/
folder, you will have to reinstall all your games (and lose your saves unless you backed them up separately)
