Cave Story remake announced for 3DS

i'm always troubled when i see a great 2d platformer "remade" in "3d". R.I.P. cavestory.

It's not dead. if you hate this, the original isn't disappearing off the face of the earth. You might like it. if you don't, ignore it's existence.

Honestly, having a game with updated graphics such as Cave Story is never a bad thing. It provides variety and substance to any remake. Some of you may say R.I.P. now, but what happens if you like it? If you don't then the original still has all the charm still.

I never said I won't like it as I probably will, however I'll like it for different reasons. I liked Cave Story for the various reasons that harked back to days of retro, those will likely not be present in the remake. Though, I will like to see what makes this one great.
