Hacking cart or card?

umm so im not sure if its flash card, or flash cart...
ive seen both (like a topic in this forum is which flashCART is best)
and ive definately seen people say like flash CARDS
so im confused
and its a cartridge, is it not?
so would it be flash cart?
or is it like a card?

I differentiate the slot 1 and slot 2.

slot 1 = flash card
slot 2 = flash cart

dont know if this is correct or not, but it makes sense to me. DS uses small thin cards and the GBA uses small cartridges...

I dunno, my 2 cents.

For what it's worth, GBA carts are officially "Game Paks" accoding to Nintendo manuals.

They are flash carts. A flash card is a general term for microSD, miniSD, SD, etc. that are often found inside a flash cart.

I think they are officially known as game cartridges but they call them game cards for ignorant people who might think that they are like ink cartridges

With flashcards referring to flash media storage I use flashcart when referring to DS copying devices.

I always call 'em carts.

I see a cartridge as something housed inside a plastic doodad, whereas a card is not housed in anything.

Common examples -

credit CARD
playing CARD
ink CARTRIDGE
8-track CARTRIDGE
nintendo CARTRIDGE
birthday CARD
