Description
Cardinal Down is a 2D platformer RPG that I am currently developing for Android and Android TV. Gameplay will consist of fighting enemies with your sword and exploring areas in a similar way to Cave Story. Cardinal Down will be story driven with an interesting plot, well developed characters, and quite a bit of symbolism. This game will be my first game with a large, serious story and it will be my most ambitious game yet!
All of the artwork and programming are being done by myself. Music and sound will probably be some creative commons stuff that I find on the internet. I have developed my own engine that this is being built on. It's open-source and free to use so if you want more information on that check out this XDA thread: BobEngine
Story
The story begins in a peaceful modern town. A boy and his younger brother live in this town and enjoy exploring the woods nearby and playing near the river. When the younger brother mysteriously disappears the older brother goes to the bridge to see if he's there. Instead of his brother, he finds a sword. Play as the older brother and embark on a journey to discover what happened to your little brother. On the way, you might just learn a thing or two about yourself.
