hey! thx for reading... i have a 3ds issue
first.....CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE 3D EFFECT?
-the images jump off the screen?
-or its just "diferent dimmensions" like you can see the volume and how far are objets...?

the thing is i can barely see 3d effect...
-WHEN I PLAY I CAN SEE ANY 3D IN GAME...BUT IF I PAUSE I SEE 3D SOMETIMES..WHEN THE OBJETS DONT MOVE
WHEN I PUT THE 3D SLIDER ALL UP I GET MY EYES TIRED REEEALLLY FAST!!! if i put it halfway i cant see any 3d effect...

here is the question..
CAN YOU TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT DISTANCE DO YOU HAVE BETWEN YOUR 3DS AND YOUR FACE?
HOW IS THE 3D EFFECT?
YOUR EYES FEEEL TIRED WHEN YOU PLAY?

THX

3D is a completely useless technology imho.

The 3DS doesn't do much of pop-out. The 3D should look more like looking inside a box.

Remember to try and hold it stright.

K....ill keep that in mind...
i always want to create a placebo efect...but i dont know how really looks like so i cant imagine the "perfect 3d effect"

1. ok
2..are you serius? many people says the effect its amazing...BTW I have nyko power pak + so....

Many people say many things, and they're usually casual gamers. The 3D effect is pointless. It's kinda cool for 5 minutes, then you'd get bored of it because it adds nothing to the actual game.
All the 3D is, is a gimmick targeted at the 3D crazed general populace. Nothing else.

The 3d is amazing. More so to people who like 3d.

Not only do I like the 3d feature for what it is, I also believe it does add to gameplay.
If you like 3d, you notice that it keep things from looking smash together.
It looks space out and what not.

Well for me the easiest way to find the right position at first was the activity log icon. It has quite a nice pop out effect.
On the home menu navigate to the activity log, but dont start it. On the topscreen they should be an animation with a pen poping out.
Now just get comfortable, and try to find the right distance, should take you only few seconds.

Also don't put the slider to max, just start low. And everyday after some playing, put it a little bit more up.
That way you get easier used to it without your eyes going tired.

Full 3D slider, 30-35cm from my face = perfect, any further and i start seeing shadows across the screen where i'm not looking directly
Half 3D slider, 40-50cm from my face

shouldn't you have been able to see the effect when you went through the 3D adjustment during your set-up?
It really shows the difference within a matter of seconds

OK gonna test it THANX

The 3D is like looking through a window that's always right outside the action. It's not a pop-out effect. It more like an effect that makes it look like the things on the screen actually exist in 3D space.

It also depens on the game you're playing. I have DoAD, Pilotwings, OoT and MK7, and by far the best effect is in Pilotwings. Your character is poping out the screen and the landscape is noticeable far from it... it's just great. In others, like Mario Kart, it's too subtle to notice yet it really adds something to gameplay. For example, in Mario Kart, if I have been playing in 3d for a long time, when I turn it off I usually hit the walls or miss the road, so it also depends on every person.

I HAVE MK7 TOO ant i dont note the effect on gameplay but i pause and i see the diference betwen far and close objets..and i haveoot and ssiv too but i dont had the 3d on because i played them on a car hahaha

Ok, I never owned a 3DS, but I've had problems with 3D on my electronics.
Firstly, try to relax your eyes when looking at the screen. Imagine that you're seeing depth in the image.
Start off with the lowest 3D settings, then day-by-day keep going higher.
