I can't seem to start my 3ds in GodMode9, I have done previously before changing memory cards, but since putting a bigger memory card in I've had no success! I tried changing the godmode9.firm with a fresh one from a new, fresh download and that hasnt worked. I've had a quick search online to no avail!

I've checked my start button works and holding select gets me into the Luma3DS configuration screen so I'm at a bit of a loose end!

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm sorry if its something ridiculously simple, I'm very new to this.

Two things:
  • Verify Luma3DS loads from SD, not from CTRNAND.
  • Put an additional payload (like a another version of GodMode9) into SD:/luma/payloads to see if you can get the chainloader menu loaded.

How do I do this? and is it a problem if its loading from CTRNAND? I think I turned it on without its memory card in, could this have caused the issue?

I tried this and I had no change.

Right so I looked into it, it looks like its because its not reading boot.firm? This is because my sd card might be set up wrong or could it be purely because it is a 128gb card? do i need to reign it back?

Its set up as 32kb cluster size and its fat32

That is really helpful information.

If a valid Luma3DS boot.firm exists in the root of your SD B9S cannot find it – for whatever reason. It sometimes happens – even if the 3DS Home Menu shows all installed games and even if those games work flawlessly.

To rule out a possible cause of error because of fake and/or defective SD I recommend checking your SD with h2testw / F3 / F3X depending on your operating system.

On 128GB and bigger you can try reformatting to 64KB cluster size instead of 32KB.

So... I've tried multiple cluster sizes (4kb, 32kb, 64kb) and still its a no go, I also tried exFAT for a laugh! Oddly the installed games and the software I've put on are all detected and work great (except exFAT). The only reason I realised was because I was wanting to convert a .3ds to .cia!

I am about to leave my laptop running the h2testw program as it will take a good few hours so I've left that for last! But it looks like the genuine article and I bought it from Amazon (though I know that isn't a guarantee, they have gotten better recently though).

Finally found a solution! I bought a 64gb as card (as opposed to micro SD with an adapter, not that I think that has any effect!) But I formatted it with 32kb cluster size and it still didn't work, I then tried 64kb and it worked! So fingers crossed I never use more space than that! Thanks for the help guys!
