Homebrew cant install boot9strap because of broken right trigger

I've installed homebrew on my 3ds all ready but my friend has a broken right trigger and we can fix it, so is there a way to make it think/say that the trigger is pressed?

I'm following this guide and up to the part at 9 minutes ( )
