Hey there!
I'll just keep this short.
A few days ago a friend of mine asked me to take
a look at a VN she was having trouble installing on
her PC. After having a look at the VN i noticed that
there was some serious issues with the installer, so
i decided to extract the archives and import them into
a new engine and rework it. I got the archives extracted,
but i noticed a few new files i haven't seen before when
doing this kind of thing.
VN name: Kokoro Navi
Lang: Japanese
Release Date: 2003
Archive File Formats: .EPK, .EGD (Both successfully extracted).
File names: SptScr.spt, StrMsg.str, StrScr.srt, TxtWin.dat,
VarSys.var, VarUsr.var.
And i believe the scripts are in these files, and i have no
idea how to extract these files. I tried using MadEdit to
see/edit the files, but all i can get from them are HEX, and
i am not good enough to know what i am supposed to use
HEX with to implement/convert into code that i can use to
make the scripts for the engine.
I will be happy with any type of response that can make me
move forward with this project.
Kind regards, Xion.
