I have a modded 4.1 U and can't get the forwarder for the NES emulator to load. I had no problem w/ SNES, VBA or Wii64, but the NES one won't install, I can run the emulator straight from HBC, but can't get the channel to install. help please
you cannot get the channel to install on your wii or get the emu to load after installing the channel? your description isn't quite clear. I would guess if its that the forwarder won't load the emu you have the wrong folder name
All it says is "Channel install failed" or something very close to that. It doesn't give like a error code or anything. i've tried different forwarders as well, so I load from HBC and some i use wad manager, none work. I even tried to "remod" the wii last night thinking i may have missed something, but no luck.
Try installing a clean IOS58, running the Hackmii installer again and then running the FCEU GX channel installer off of the homebrew browser. That was one of the first channels I ever installed and that's how I got it to work.
I suppose that could work.
I would usually just get the WAD from ModMii.
(IOS58 is on download page 1 and the homebrew browser and the hackmii installer are on download page 2)
EDIT : But if you already have them, that's fine, too.
another thought :
If you can get a forwarder channel to install for an app that you DON'T think you'll ever use, you could just rename the folder and use the other forwarder to launch the emulator
for example
If you weren't ever going to use USB Loader GX you could get and install the channel and just rename
/apps/fceugx/
to
/apps/usbloadergx/
Ok, so after trying the wad from the link, and trying to install a channel for mame and rename the folder like you suggested, I've realized that I can't install any channels now. I tried installing both the wad from the link and the mame wad and both gave me the 2011 error in MMM, and I'm afraid to uninstall a channel thats already there for fear of not being able to get that back on. I also upgraded to 4.3 through modmii and rehacked hoping that would work, no luck
