Hello,

I bought a r4isdhc[dot]com gold pro 2017 a few months ago and used it to install Luma3DS via ntrboot on my Old 2DS. Everything went fine and now I'm on CFW.
Some days ago I wanted to use the flashcard to play a nds rom, so I removed ntrboot from the flashcard following the guide on 3ds[dot]guide and got zero errors.
But now, when I "launch" the flashcard from the home menu of the 2DS (which shows as a Bomberman game), the screen becomes black and nothing else happens. The (weird?) thing is that if I press Start I go back to the home menu, so I guess the card is somehow working and it senses my inputs. So I tried to download the firmware from the r4isdhc[dot]com site, and before copying it to the microSD card, I formatted it as a MBR-FAT32 unit as I read here on the forums. Then I copied the firmware files but the problem remains, nothing happens. So I tried other firmwares that I found here, I tried also to search deep in the forums to see if anyone has had this problem but I couldn't find anything.

How can I get it back to work? For the sake of clarity, I also read that I had to install DSiMenu++ on the flashcart, so I tried it but the black screen remained.

Try a different SD card. Also format the SD card with guiformat (google it) rather than natively in windows.
I tried another SD card, formatted with guiformat and also I tried with SDFormatter as suggested in Retrogamesfan's thread, but nothing changed. The screen stays black and if I press start I go back to the home menu. Sometimes pressing start sends me in the Luma3DS Chainloader instead of the Home Menu.

PS: the SD cards I tried are of 2GB and 1GB, so I don't think it's a problem of not being recognized…

EDIT: I tried to insert the flashcard in my old (phat)DS and at least it showed something on the screen, while also showing a series of errors in red.

EDIT2: So I followed the first section of the "Troubleshooting" part on 3ds.guide ("DSi / DS functionality is broken after completing the guide") and now the black screen is gone. Instead, I got the same red errors I get on the DS, but they are impossible to read. I've attached an image of them.

It looks like multiple error messages, one of them though is the Fake card message that can be seen on the first post of this thread.

The other one looks like it is probably the “system date” error.

Try installing the latest official kernel see what it does now that you’ve fixed the black screen issue.
Thank you, I tried to reinstall the latest official kernel and it seems working now! Thank you for your help.
