Hacking Cannot load browser without upgrading firmware (GW mode failed)

Hi there. I'm not sure but if card update is a 'light' update. .. What's about a system to system update?
Never tried so I can't answer it for sure


Edit: in my remember every non new xl had the Web browser installed. It's pretty scary. Can you may change the ds for another

a "system to system" update is more "check online if update is available and download it"

try using the method that removes the update by holding buttons on boot to get into recovery menu or w.e then delete the update data and see if that fixes it

What I have tried:
1, format the system, same issue (this picture just appears when I try to open the browser);
2, take off the battery, wait for a while and open up, same issue;
3, hold L+R+A+up button and switch on, choose not to upgrade and same issue.

he already tried that, at this point his only real option is doing the nand mod and restoring his backup from when he did have access to the browser

Did you try the QR code one yet? I remember someone making a QR code version for people to access it easier.

This can't affect people who use the offline exploit with an android and have their nands unlinked.

Nobody knows quite how this is done yet, but it's definitely an interesting topic for those who haven't downgraded, and use the regular web exploit and not the offline android alternative.

After the 3DS scans the QR code, it reads the information, and attempts to open the browser given the information.

It has to go through the same method as initially launching the browser. Unfortunately that means the check is still performed that asks him to update his 3DS, and thus, this won't work.

This is why I like being on 4.5 (ROP FTW), I have heard of this happening to people and is sad for peeps who can't get on internet, you can just hope the n3ds exploit (which is supposed to be something to do with mii maker/plaza) works on normal 3DS!
