Can you run Kali Linux on the Nintendo Switch?

Kali Linux recently added an undercover mode which makes their interface imitate the Windows 10 interface. It's supposed to be a stealth mode of sorts because having the Kali dragon as your desktop background on your laptop in public looks suspicious. To bring stealth mode one step further you can run Kali Linux on the Switch. Nobody will ever suspect a thing.

On the other hand inputting commands using a Switch in handheld mode would be fucking tedious. Aircrack-ng probably wouldn't work because I doubt the Switch's shitty WiFi module supports monitor mode and packet injection.

If your computer is as shit as mine then Hashcat would run better, provided it supports hardware acceleration from the Tegra X1 GPU.

Wouldn't a switch running Windows also alert the not paranoid enough to know about consoles being hack vectors (this despite them being considered as such for well over a decade at this point) but knowledgeable enough to know the default background?

That said I am actually curious. Fairly fixed hardware specs, assuming the wifi (or at least an addon) can be convinced to do your basic network attacks then that would make a reasonable little grab and go baseline hacking tool.

I think it wont be very useful because of the small screen and lack of a keyboard and mouse. It's probably only good for running scripts, and even then a laptop will do a better job because the Switch's WiFi module sucks balls. You might be able to insert a better WiFi module by playing around with USB cables and settings but not worth the effort.

I’m sorry to bring up a dead post, but this is relevant.

I did exactly this with a USB-C to USB-A adapter from my Google Pixel phone and an Alfa USB wireless card in Switchroot L4T Ubuntu 5.0 and was able to get it to work. This kind of ruins the “stealth” aspect so I’m also investigating bringing over the Kali nexmon drivers for BCM cards so that the BCM4356 can inject packets.

Most of the tools from Kali are available on Ubuntu anyway and most of them work even without wireless packet injection. Using the built in wireless card I was easily able to MITM my own devices on my network. Packet injection only allows for an increased chance at wireless access point exploits but again can be done without it if you’re patient and have access to a power source for a few weeks. I don’t really see the point in doing it other than to get NetHunter supported semi-officially. I doubt OffSec will ever officially support the Switch.
