Hacking Can you install Wii Games on Wii U with WUP installer?

Hi Guys

I am sorry if this has been discussed a thousand times.

But, can Wii games be installed with WUP installer on Wii U.

I managed to install Metroid Trilogy, and it shows on the Wii U menu, but when the game loads, it just freezes?

I have a Wii U running on CFW.

a lot (maybe all?) of those VC titles don't have legit/patched tickets accompanying them. as a result, they're not verified for use by the Wii U, and won't launch. i imagine with Mocha or CBHC, they would work fine, but i got no clue since i haven't tried either of those

You need to be in CFW when you run those games. What CFW are you using?

What seems to have worked for me, is by copying the game to internal memory Metroid Prime Trilogy works, but hangs when I run it from external...

when you buyed a game for the CFW you should have haxchi or maybe CBHX :o

RegionHax doesn't go onto the vWii side and some vWii VC games will still not launch

sounds like cbhc with that message. does it say autobooting?

Oh, I saw that you fixed it. Other regions might or might not work though.

Download latest CBHC Installer from WiiUBrU Appstore (I suggest via PC) or from FIX94 github.
Then run it and let it overwrite your DS VC game again. Also same risks apply.

although u can update over an install, it's best to uninstall cbhc, then install the updated version. I've read of bricks from installing over an install.

That's because one user had corrupted CBHC Installer.

I am sorry, I dont know where to uninstall the old one, nor what exactly I need to download from that site ( just been looking).

can it not be updated directly from the Hombrew Store on the Wii u, like the apps?

Maybe I should just leave it as is.

if u choose to uninstall first, this can be done with the cbhc installer. it may be best to install the new cbhc from @FIX94 's github. he's the one who creates the cbhc cfw.
