What systems would they be?
GB/GBC we are seeing active discussion and development of a flash cart from a veteran team
https://gbatemp.net/threads/ez-flash-junior-testflight.558875/ which has competition as well.
and new games before that (see Towers II), leaked releases (see all the various gigaleaks) and homebrew in general (
https://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/5574/complete-gameboy-trackers-sequencers-synths-list/ ).
GBA wise the site is named for it so probably got to keep those for posterity, and even if not I spent the last few days having a discussion about any amount of very in depth hacking for it
https://gbatemp.net/threads/is-there-a-limit-as-to-how-many-samples-the-gba-can-play.573544/
If anything I would be up for bringing that section back to the fore to join all the other current and last gen consoles rather than having it somewhat buried.
PS1 this last month for the optical drive emulator
https://gbatemp.net/threads/ps1-hdmi-and-ode-comming.571579/
and PS2 saw a massive new exploit not long before that

Gamecube has plenty going on (all sorts of drive emulators, HDMI adapters, mods and more going there, to say nothing of its homebrew also working on the Wii and Wii U) and ROM hacking is also ramping up there.
Xbox is one of the finest homebrew consoles the world ever saw and has a decided following around here (granted that often spills over into the 360 section). 360 also saw a massive homebrew/hacking scene.
Other Consoles & Oldies is a catch all section otherwise so kind of need that one.
I assume android and ios sections don't offend your sensibilities (apple in general offends me but they never the less remain popular).
That pretty much leaves GPD Handhelds and Dingoo & Gemei
Both of those are homebrew powerhouses, though doing less than they used to. They might stand to be archived somewhat or folded into another.
For the most part I think we gave up on having one of those forum index is all on one screen deals around the time the DS hit.
