Nintendo Badge Arcade, which just released in North America.

as for custom badges, well they might be stored in extdata. someone's gotta figure it out though. someone probably already has.

svdt shows that this game has no normal save data.

you can change the app shortcuts, only to other system apps it seems, not a shortcut to an actual game.
you can edit the amount of a badge, giving yourseld an unlimited number of it.
i tried to unlock/copy a friend's badges, but i couldn'tdo it. but it must be possible somehow.
but... as soon as you connect back to the badge center app, it checks and redownloads the badge data sonyou lose your edits... lol

lol badges really? Do you need to update your 3ds to get them? If yes they are doing everyythingg to try to patch exploits ç-ç and the same fucking excuse STABILITY....my 3ds is stiffer then a brick wall.

My 3DS is so stable that when I tried to drill a whole through the screen, the drill bit snapped in half and the drill exploded!

Also to answer your question, I'm pretty sure you don't need to since I'm on 9.9 with my JPN New 3DS and I have badges. (Badge center has been out for around a year now in japan)

not every feature is about trying to get you to 'update'. they give us features because we bought the device, they are trying to make a good product and improve it.
do you think if there were no hacks for 3ds, nintendo would not create new stuff? lol

Well your kinda right but listen, do you honestly think that they are gonna do it just for us(maybe) but they also have second intentions (stop and prevent piracy) so yeah..u can probably agree at some point lol

well honestly I don't know if the people at nintendo think about it, maybe they do a little bit sure, but remember the hacked consoles are in the minority, even with the latest stuff that let even more people hack easily, it is still a tiny fraction of 3ds consoles. let alone true piracy, 9.2 and below.

Yeah I agree, there aren't a lot people who can even play pirated games on there 3DS anyways. I wish my old 3DS was still on 9.2! (For NON-piracy reasons. Maybe.)

Just letting you know I'm on an American New3DS with 9.5 EmuNAND and have been using badges for a long while, the info from the Japanese updates is the same as in the Americas and Europe. Everyone above at least 9.4 should have the required data to use these badges, the only thing you cannot do is place them on folders as far as I can tell.
