I could use Dolphin but there is lag so I would like to use the WiiU.

But you can inject mario kart wii with uwuvci and use the gamepad as a controller. Just get the latest build of uwuvci

Another option to consider, if you're using a HDD you can also use USBPartition to have Wii U games on one partition and Wii and GameCube games on the other through USB Loader GX, which has near perfect compatibility:
