Can Overclocking the cpu to 2ghz damage my switch

Hi there I was planning to overclock my switch to 2ghz for dolphin on lineage os and was wondering if it could have any serious or long lasting effects

I'm not sure, since I don't plan on overclocking mine any time soon. But it'll heat up a lot more for sure. I fear its fan won't be enough to keep it even remotely close to cool

If I were you, I would be more concerned about the battery of your Switch than your CPU. In my experience, the battery tends to heat up a lot while running Android (especially while charging). Overclocking it would only make this problem worse.

A good rule of thumb is always be mindful of heat. The Battery, CPU, ect will all "wear" to an extent from heat, that said as long as it stays within the normal operating threshold it will be fine.

It's going above that and for how long that can cause varied amounts of damage.
