Hacking Can my wii play dvd's?

Used ModMii for windows to hack my wii 4.3u been using uLoader 5.0 to play games with a external drive and was just wondering if I could possibly play dvd's as in a movie dvd? Im pretty sure my drive is the new one so am i unable to play dvd's or can I ?

It wouldn't hurt to try, but if it's a black wii, or a red wii, or a new white wii, then it wont be able to. Get wiimc and try watching one.

did your wii come with 4.3u installed or you updated? if its the former, its pretty unlikely you will be able to play dvds as wii's bought after late 2008 have the d3-2 drive which doesn't read dvds or backups.
