Hacking Question Can I update ACNH on a CFW switch?

Hi guys. I just installed atmosphere and fixed it by getting a new as card like you said in my last thread. Now I have a save editor on my switch for ACNH. I have to update animal crossing from 1.0 to 1.2 though to go on local play to transfer items to my unhacked switch. I have 90DNS running so I can’t update the game, should I turn it off and update it really quick or will I get banned?

Find the update online, and manually update.

You can also update offline by using the "unify version by local communication" which can be acessed by pressing + on the highlighted game, then going into data management. Then your hacked switch will download the update from the other switch you have over ad-hoc wifi connection.

CAREFUL as this can also UPDATE your firmware! I only recommend using this if you are running the latest switch firmware and latest CFW (SX OS, Atmosphere, Reinx, etc).

The safest way to patch your game, if you are not up to date on your firmware, is finding the NSP update online or in one of the shops.
