I want to make a guide on how to get WAIO working on R4 and I was wonder if this would go against anything of the owners I have contacted Xenon++ and Pong20032000
about this matter I need to find the owner of YSMENU can I go ahead and make the guide without his permission if not can someone tell me where to contact him?

All of you have a great day!

I don't see how making a guide would do any harm.
It's not infringing on any of his work.

I don't think anybody would mind. As long as you give credit to the creators (and do not directly link to YSMenu) then I'm sure that Xenon++ and Pong would be grateful!

ok but I need to wait and get permission from everyone else first thanks for the help!QUOTE(fearofshorts @ Jul 12 2010, 12:48 PM) I don't think anybody would mind. As long as you give credit to the creators (and do not directly link to YSMenu) then I'm sure that Xenon++ and Pong would be grateful!
I can't say for Pong - but I did do a guide/package that originally included a patch that Xenon++ did & IIRC I didn't ask for his permission at the time -
He's never complained about it, in fact later in the post (on page 3 actually) he posted additional patch files to support newer versions of AKAIO

He also didn't mind me changing the icon used in one of his files (although I think I DID ask that time), & he has also popped in many times to even offer suggestions and help when people have had trouble with my package.

Still it is nice that you have actually taken the time to ask first just to check - well done

That's YASU, and I don't rate your chances.

If you want to included a pre-built YSMENU, you will need his permission.

If you want to contact him, try the site you downloaded YSMENU from.

I think a guide would be fantastic.

I have been trying to get this going on my R4-III as the replacement kernel for about 3 weeks now with no success.

I guess I just don't understand how to set it up properly.

I would be eternally grateful if you could do this.

PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CannonFoddr,

Thanks.

I sent a message a few days back to Pikachu945 asking about it, but no reply so far.

Just getting a bit antxy to put this on my r4-III.

Again, thank you for letting me know this thread isn't dead.

Would anyone here know how to set up WAIO on an R4 clone?

Even if someone could just send me a link for a preconfigured one (minus ysmenu precompile) that would be great.

Or if someone could just show me the sd card setup and how to configure the extlink folder files.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The Doc

erm i think this is how...
keep the r4iii.dat
get the waio download found here
you can also obtain the fake mnoonshel2 folder there aswell
put waio.nds dldl> patched on root of SD card and _rpg folder.
put moonshel2 folder there (root) and the extlink launcher in moonshel2 extlink folder.

now TEST
